The Hallettsville 4A Manufacturing Development Corporation owns approximately 25 acres in Lavaca County, Texas. The site is located on US HWY 77 equidistance between Houston, San Antonio, and Austin. Locally, the site is between the City of Hallettsville and the City of Schulenburg approximately 15 miles south of interstate 10 and .6 miles from the City of Hallettsville city limits. The City of Hallettsville is the County seat and the commercial, medical, and residential hub of Lavaca County. The property has over 1,700 feet of frontage on US HWY 77.
Electricity is provided by San Bernard Electric Cooperative. Water and sewer are currently not available on the site, but the City of Hallettsville and the Hallettsville Economic Development Corporations would be able to work cooperatively with a prospective user to extend both to the site.
The 25 acres was acquired by the Hallettsville 4A Manufacturing Corporation in June of 2014. Local economic development incentives can be pursued through both Hallettsville Economic Development Corporations (4A and 4B). Historically, the site has only been used for agriculture and most recently has been used for the production of hay. This site is approximately a one and one half hour drive from the cities of Houston, San Antonio, and Austin.
